About Edge of the Florist
A bit about me
One of the first memories I have is that of my grandmother's flower shop in Tsawwassen, BC. I must have been 2 or 3 when I remember time spent playing in a drawer of vermiculite, it was fun light squishy stuff.
In hindsight, probably not the best stuff to be playing with. I was content playing while my mom and grandma made floral arrangements on the bench above. What I do remember most is the scent of the shop.
It's amazing how certain scents can stay with us throughout our lives and bring back such vivid recollections. The unique combination of florals and greens create a distinct aroma that is associated with beauty and nature.
Living on the Coast also lends itself well to beauty and nature.
The sound of the waves crashing, the salty breeze in the air.
Being amongst the ocean and the forest can contribute to a sense of tranquility and peace that is good for your soul. I've been a part of the coast since my birth and feel deeply connected to this environment.
Although I was born and raised in South Vancouver.
The flowers have been a thought of mine for 15 years. When life brought me here to live in Pender Harbour, where I am surrounded by peace and beauty at the edge of the forest, I thought it would be a good opportunity to start "Edge of the Florist" - a home-based flower boutique catering to the people in my area.
